So The  Maze Runner needs to take a back burner for a bit longer. I recently received two review copies of books on Netgalley. I want to get those read and reviewed first. I’ll try to find time to read The Maze Runner in between but honestly I think I’m going to choose another book and come back to the Maze Runner. I’m not that far into it and I just don’t have the time it needs.

Rating: 10/10

A small blurb from Amazon:

“Terribly unhappy in his family’s crowded New York City apartment, Sam Gribley runs away to the solitude-and danger-of the mountains, where he finds a side of himself he never knew.”

My thoughts:

This book details the accounts of a city boy living in the woods. What city boy ( or girl) doesn’t want to live in the woods. or at least run away from home from time to time?

I found the book to be beautifully written.  The story was very convincing and I often wondered if the story was more than fiction.  I found Sam to be a perfect representation of a child who wants to run away and live in the wild. Over all a really great book and I can see why this book is a favorite of Kenny’s.

10/10 would recommend
